Verification Terms

1. Overview

The pullup verification program helps users identify authentic accounts of notable individuals, companies, and organizations on our platform. Verification is indicated by a blue checkmark badge next to the account name.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for verification, accounts must meet the following criteria:

  • Authentic: The account must represent a real person, registered business, or entity.
  • Notable: The account must represent a well-known, highly searched person, brand, or entity.
  • Unique: Only one account per person or business may be verified (with exceptions for language-specific accounts).
  • Complete: The account must have a complete profile including bio, profile photo, and at least one event hosted or attended.
  • Active: The account must be actively used on the platform.

3. Types of Verification

Notable Person

For individuals with a notable public presence such as influencers, artists, athletes, public figures, or other notable individuals. Requires proof of public presence through official links, news articles, or social media verification.

Company / Organization

For businesses, brands, and organizations. Requires domain ownership verification through DNS TXT records. The domain must be the official company domain.

4. Verification Process

  1. Submit a verification request through your dashboard
  2. Provide required information and documentation
  3. For companies: Complete domain verification via DNS TXT record
  4. Our team reviews your application (typically 3-5 business days)
  5. Receive notification of approval or rejection

5. Verified Account Obligations

Once verified, you agree to:

  • Use your verified display name truthfully and consistently
  • Not transfer, sell, or misuse your verified status
  • Maintain accurate account information
  • Comply with all pullup terms of service and community guidelines
  • Accept that your display name will be locked and cannot be changed

6. Display Name Lock

Upon verification approval, your display name will be permanently locked to the name provided in your verification request. This ensures consistency and authenticity. Name changes after verification require a new verification review and approval.

7. Verification Removal

pullup reserves the right to remove verification status at any time if:

  • The account violates our terms of service or community guidelines
  • The account becomes inactive for an extended period
  • Information provided during verification is found to be false
  • The account engages in misleading or deceptive behavior
  • The account is used for spam, fraud, or malicious activities

8. Privacy

Information submitted for verification is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may retain verification-related information for compliance and security purposes.

9. No Guarantee

Submission of a verification request does not guarantee approval. All decisions are made at pullup's sole discretion and are final. We are not obligated to provide specific reasons for rejection.

10. Changes to Terms

pullup may update these verification terms at any time. Continued use of the verified badge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
